Wenonah Hauter and Andy Gheorghiu of ‘Food & Water Watch’ and ‘Food & Water Watch Europe’ are coming to Preston. Food and water watch are one of the primary anti fracking facilitators and campaign groups in North America and Europe.
In the evening of 6 June there will have an event at the Mystery Tea House in Preston 7-9pm where Wenonah will launch her new book Frackopoly. Wenonah will describe the dangers inherent in fracking and why pursuing this harmful practice threatens public health, natural resources, and the climate. She will describes a political system rigged in favor of laissez-faire economics, allowing a juggernaut of polluters and other greedy economic forces to dominate the media, educational institutions, and our government.
Andy and Frida will talk about the fracking situation in Europe and further afield. There will be plenty of time for discussion and questions.
